Two Flags Over Savannah

The flag topped dome of the Savannah City Hall lights up the sky above the Georgia Queen Riverboat's own flag on Historic River Street. Completed in 1905, the dome of City Hall was covered in gold leaf in 1987.
The Georgia River Queen was built in 1997 to replicate an 1800's paddlewheel style riverboat. Originally used as a floating casino on the Mississippi River, the boat moved to Savannah in 2016 when laws allowed land based casinos.
