#PrescottArizona #WatsonLake Arizona Celebrating 8 years since my move to Prescott Arizona. Granite Mountain as seen from a trail in the Granite Basin Recreation Area. Granite Mountain covers 12 square miles and tops out at 7,628 feet, It was once named Gurley Mountain for the first governor of the Arizona Territory. The sheer granite cliff is one the best locations for rock climbing in Arizona. Portions of it are closed from February through July to protect the nesting of Peregrine Falcons.

The title refers to a line in Chancey Williams’ song Fastest Gun in Town. Now a country and western star, Chancey went to the National High School Rodeo Finals as well as the College National Finals. He joined Chris Ledoux as the only two who have individuals to compete in the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo and later perform on it’s main stage.
