From January 2015 - Chapel of the Holy Cross in the Sedona, Arizona.
Inspired by the Empire State Building, Marguerite Brunswig Staude sought to build the chapel in 1932 in Budapest Hungry. She enlisted Lloyd Wright (son of Frank Lloyd Wright) but the beginning of World War II thwarted those efforts. Getting help from Senator Barry Goldwater, Staude obtained a special use permit to build the chapel in her native Arizona on land in the Coconino National Forest in Sedona. Built at a cost of $300,000 the chapel was completed in 1956. #ChapeloftheHolyCross #Sedona #Snow #FrankLloydWright #CoconinoNationalForest
