Goldwater Lake

Goldwater Lake in the Prescott National Forest - Named after Barry Goldwater. Goldwater was a Major General in the United States Army serving during World War II and the Korean War. He was only the 2nd Republican in Arizona to be elected to the Senate where he served from 953 to 1965, then again from 1968 to 1987. He was the Republican nominee for President in 1964, losing to LBJ.
