Day 1 The Adventure Begins

How did Shelly and I get to this point?  The adventure begins about 16 years ago when Shelly and I decided to look for a dog, specifically a Labrador Retriever. Thanks to a recommendation from one of my high school classmates, Lynn Schneider, we found a breeder in NW Indiana where we picked out Wrigley, the greatest dog ever, and he became a part of our family.
Wrigley was such a great dog, we decided after our move to Prescott, Arizona to look for another Labrador to keep Wrigley company as he got older. So, in 2017, our dog sitter Judy informed us that one of her friends located in Chino Valley, had a litter of white labrador puppies.  We went out to take a look and that’s when Cubby stole our hearts and our family, much to the dismay of Wrigley, became 4.
Those two dogs filled our hearts with so much love. In late 2024, at the young age of 7-1/2, Cubby developed a heart issue that left us heart broken. Then in February 2025, just weeks before his 15th birthday, Wrigley passed and once again we were heart broken.
As we contemplated another dog, we decided on two puppies, preferably white English Labs and brothers. And thanks to Bougie Labradors in Mesa Arizona, that is where we found Yellow (CJ) and Bluey (JW). CJ is Cubby Junior and JW is Junior Wrigley. What better way to honor our departed best friends.
