A full moon shines brightly over the dome of the Old Capitol Building on the campus of the University of Iowa in Iowa City. February 8th is dedicated as National Iowa Day, honoring the 29th state of the Union. Why is Iowa important? Iowa leads the nation in pork production, providing the nation with 33 percent of hog production and 120,000 jobs. Iowa also is the number 1 corn producer in the nation.
Besides that, Iowa is the home of the Iowa Hawkeyes. Oh, yeah and I am a proud graduate of the University of Iowa - It's Great to be a Hawkeye. #OldCapitol #Iowa #UniversityofIowa #IowaCity #FullMoon #NationalIowaDay #IowaHawkeyes #ItsGreattoBeAHawkeye
