Leaving Las Vegas

A flight leaving Las Vegas soars high above the snow capped Mount Charleston. Situated 42 miles from the Vegas strip, Mount Charleston climbs 11,916 feet as it reaches Charleston Peak.  It is the highest peak in the Spring Mountain Range and Clark County Nevada. Although it is the most prominent peak in Nevada, it is only the 8th highest mountain in Nevada.
