 Last week in Chicago we took a river architectural boat tour. Here's a picture of the twin towers of Marina City along the Chicago River. It reminded me of the Steve McQueen Movie "The Hunter" and the car chase scene through the parking garage.......and then into the river. I guess 79 and 80 were great times for Chicago car chase scenes in the movies. Would have loved to witness that live. In early June I went to see the flag and light display at the Hoover Dam, only to find that the flag had torn the day before and was being repaired. The Lightshow was still very cool so I wasn't too disappointed. Later int he month I saw that the Grand Canyon Railroad had wrapped one of the engines for the USA 250, so a trip to Williams and The Grnd Canyon was next. Finally, I saw that the Thunderbirds were doing a flyover of the Dam (with the flag to be up) on the morning of June 30th on their way to the nation''s capital. Another trip.
